As a guide let me tell you that dropping a dress size is the same as losing about ten to fifteen pounds.
You can lose those 10-15 pounds through a bit of work and by letting go of some not so healthy habits you may have. If you think you can do this then keep reading below!
The first thing you should do when you want to lose weight and drop a dress size is to write down the things you eat on a normal day or week. By writing it down, it is easy to see where you have been going wrong with your diet and the things you can change to help you drop a dress size fast.
Once you have identified the parts of your diet that may be the cause of that extra weight, there are six specific changes that you can implement to get you back on track and dropping a dress size quickly.
1. Reduce sugar intake
It is no secret that many people have too much sugar in their diet. However, the problem is that’s difficult to reduce sugar intake when you consider it is included in just about all food products that you purchase such as fruit juices, fast food, and sodas!
But you can take action to reduce your sugar intake. When buying food products check labels for sugar content and stay away from foods that have sugar added.
An easy way to reduce your weekly sugar consumption is to stop drinking all sodas and cut back to just one sweetened coffee a week.
2. Get Moving!
For most people there just isn’t enough time in each day to squeeze in some exercise.
But if you want to drop a dress size then you have no option but to get off your butt and do some exercise. If it means you can get in 20-30 minutes of exercise still do it. Because even just some quick exercise 3-4 times a week will make a

massive difference and help in dropping a dress size quickly.
3. Tone Up
A common myth is that strength training should only be for those guys wanting to build muscles but in reality done properly it can help you lose weight and drop a dress size quickly.
Strength work assists in fat loss because of the simple fact that muscle is better at burning calories than fat.
But it’s worth remembering that muscle itself does weigh more than the corresponding amount of fat. So this means that the scale isn’t the most reliable factor when trying to gauge if you have lost any pounds. The best test to see if you’re body is losing fat and toning up is to check how your clothes are fitting. The bottom line is if you are doing some strength training your body will tone up, feel and look firmer, and you will drop that size however it may not always show up on the scale so don’t let it worry you.
4. Stick to Fresh Food
If you don’t already know, processed foods are not good for you. Processed foods such as canned fruit, canned soups and processed meats are full of calories, high in fat and packed with salt.
To drop a dress size fast its very clear that you shouldn’t be eating any food like this.
In place of processed foods you should be eating food that is fresh and natural. Try food like fruits and vegetables, fish and chicked. Remember this tip when you next go grocery shopping – only stick to the outside aisles.
The middle aisles usually contain most of the processed foods, so reduce the temptation by staying away.
5. Include Fibre in Your Diet
Fibre is essential as part of your diet and it should be getting a healthy dose every day. One clear advantage of fibre is that it will keep you feeling full for longer on less calories and will cleanse your digestive tract.
Some of the best foods from which to get fibre include oats, bananas, prunes and potatoes.
6. Increase Your Food Intake!
No this isn’t a license for you to start binge eating! If possible this means you should try moving away from the standard three large meals a day.
You should be aiming to instead have 4 to 6 small meals throughout a day. By increasing the number of meals you have, you will reap other benefits such as increased metabolism allowing more fat to be burnt and leaving you feeling fuller for longer.
What this means is that by reducing your portion sizes but having more meals each day you should be able to quickly drop a dress size!
